Dr. Quaas has presented several abstracts at national meetings, and authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals. His research and clinical interests include oocyte maturation, adenomyosis, assisted reproductive technology, resident mentoring and minimally invasive surgery. Specific research publications include:
- GnRH Antagonist use in ovulation induction / intrauterine insemination (OI/IUI) to IVF conversions
- Prevention and treatment of uterine bleeding in hematologic malignancy
- Differentiation of adenomyoma, leiomyoma and normal myometrium on pelvic MR
- Evaluation of a formal mentoring program in an Ob/Gyn residency training program
Education
Dr. Quaas completed his Ph.D. at the Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg, Germany, “magna cum laude”; and received his M.D. degree from Victoria University Medical School, Manchester, UK, with Honors. He completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Integrated Harvard University residency program in Boston, and then worked as an attending in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital for two years.
Dr. Quaas currently is in subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California.
